Spotify Wrapped 2025 breaks record with 200 million users in first 24 hours


Spotify reports that Wednesday’s launch of its annual year-in-review feature, Spotify Wrapped, was its biggest ever.


The streaming giant reports that Wrapped 2025 attracted over 200 million engaged users within the first 24 hours - a 19% increase compared to last year. In 2024, it took the platform 62 hours to hit the same milestone, the company noted. Engaged users are defined as those who viewed at least one story within the Wrapped experience.


Spotify also announced that this year’s Wrapped was shared more than 500 million times, marking a 41% jump from last year’s share count.



With Wrapped 2025, Spotify rolled out nearly a dozen new and updated features designed to help users dive deeper into the stories and moments that shaped their year. Listening Age estimates the era your musical taste aligns with, Clubs groups listeners into one of six distinct listening styles, and Wrapped Party transforms the entire experience into a fun, competitive game to enjoy with friends.


With more than 700 million listeners worldwide relying on Spotify to soundtrack their lives, Wrapped continues to cement itself as one of the most anticipated annual events, celebrating artists, creators, and fans across the globe.
