Spice keeps momentum rolling in 2026
Queen of Dancehall Spice teams up with popular producer CJtheChemist to deliver after-hours heat on “Degree,” a sleek, sensual anthem that flips an academic metaphor into a lesson on intimacy, mastered through chemistry, confidence, and experience.
The single appears on the Champagne Riddim, co-produced by Dexta Daps Music Group, and showcases Spice’s signature bold, magnetic charisma alongside CJtheChemist’s moody, late-night production. Grown and flirtatious, the record feels effortlessly steamy, a polished soundtrack for mature passion and control, already climbing to No. 5 on the iTunes Reggae Songs chart.
Spice kicks off 2026 in strong form, with her previous release “Soft Gyal Era” surpassing 1 million views within two weeks of its release. She’s also set to perform in Jamaica on February 27 at Skeng’s birthday celebration, as part of the Soak’D party.
Both Spice and CJtheChemist will also take part in the annual Island Music Conference on February 25, appearing on separate panels. Spice will join Mastering the Art of Influencer Entrepreneurship, while CJtheChemist is slated for The Power of the Producer alongside Stephen Di Genius McGregor, Silent Addy, and others.
