London-based music company Kobalt Music signs a global publishing deal with Disco Neil, one half of the Miami-based production duo Bashment Sound.

Blending dancehall, afrobeats, and electronic elements, Bashment Sound gained international attention with Moliy’s smash hit “Shake It to the Max (Fly),” a track that topped Billboard charts, went viral worldwide, and was named on Spotify’s “Songs of the Summer 2025” list.

“Blessed to be a part of the Kobalt family, I truly believe they will help connect the dots and get the music and sound we have created worldwide. Time to get to work—new music on the way,” Disco Neil shared after the signing.

The move also reflects Kobalt’s confidence in the rising influence of producers pushing Caribbean-inspired sounds into the global mainstream. Kate Loesch, Kobalt’s senior director of creative, praised Disco Neil and Bashment Sound for their ability to bridge genres and generate cross-border appeal.

With Kobalt’s global reach, this deal positions Disco Neil for greater exposure, ensuring that he and the work of Bashment Sound are better represented in royalty collection, licensing, and even sync opportunities, all of which are crucial for sustaining long-term growth in today’s shifting music industry.
