Season 5 of the Harry J Live Couch Series is set to premiere on Sunday, November 24, 2024, continuing its tradition of spotlighting groundbreaking performances from Jamaica's most talented and promising artists.

Reggae veteran Duane Stephenson, along with rising talents Jah Lil, Royal Blu, Jemere Morgan, Akina Eman, and F.Y.A.H., each bring their distinctive style and energy to the series, filmed at the legendary Harry J Recording Studio and produced by Trifactor Studios.

The Harry J Live Couch Series will release new episodes on the Harry J Studio YouTube page every other week from November 24, 2024, to January 19, 2025. Additionally, one song will premiere on Reggaeville.com every other Friday, starting November 22. Season five kicks off with Jah Lil. ā€œThe Harry J Live Couch Series has always been about showcasing the essence of Jamaican music in a personal setting. This season, weā€™re excited to feature such an extraordinary group of artistes who each carry a powerful message and sound on a new couch. Itā€™s also a reminder that after 50 years the magic that happens at Harry J Studio is still potent and remains a place with so much history and soul," shared Tara Johnson, Managing Director at Harry J Recording Studio.

Since its inception in 2020 by Tara Johnson, the Harry J Live Couch Series began as a heartfelt tribute to Bob Andy following his passing, celebrating his life and work at Harry J Recording Studio, where he shared a close bond with its late founder, Harry Johnson. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the series transformed into a source of musical therapy for reggae lovers unable to attend live shows in person.

Over the past four years, the series has distinguished itself by providing live music performances to global audiences through a virtual platform, enabling artists to deliver authentic, deeply resonant experiences. Past performers include Valiant, Projexx, Ras-I, Monifah, KaleX, Joby Jay, Gihrl, Hector Lewis, Blvk H3ro, and more.

Season 5 is proudly sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Uppsala Reggae Festival, and VP Records.
