Charly Black, to hosted celebration in Style

Chart-topping dancehall artist Charly Black is gearing up for his annual birthday bash, scheduled for April 6th. Departing from his usual tradition of hosting multiple parties across the island, he's opting for a grand celebration in his hometown at Trelawny this year.

The 'Gyal Yuh A Party Animal' singer will gather a star-studded lineup at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium to mark his birthday before jetting off to Canada for another event on April 13th.

The lineup of artists for the event includes dancehall icon, Sean Paul, Kymani Marley, Chronic Law, Jahmiel, Roze Don, Neeqah, and many others. Providing the music will be DJ Timeles, Supa Hype, Echo One Sound, Renz International, Trinidad's Custodians, DJ Sus and Sammy, along with Charly's former sound system residence, Bass Odyssey.

"It’s a different vibe for this year’s event because I mostly do beach or river parties for my birthday. This year I wanted to make it a larger event and also add performances that Trelawny doesn’t see very often,” he stated.

Charly expects overwhelming support for the event, not only due to the stellar lineup but also because it coincides with his actual birthday in his hometown.

"Because the event is being held on my exact birthday, if you’re my friend or you like my music there shouldn’t be an excuse for you not to come. It’s going to be a great event," Charly remarked.
