Rockers International Records continues to carry the legacy of melodica king, composer, and dub pioneer Augustus Pablo, as the iconic label prepares a special tribute weekend celebrating his enduring impact on Jamaican music and culture.
The event will feature performances from Addis Pablo, who remains deeply connected to the essence of his father's musical vision while carrying the Rockers sound into a new era.
The celebrations begin on Saturday, June 20, at the historic home of Rockers International Records, located at 135 Orange Street in downtown Kingston. The venue, which served as the original Rockers shop, will host a tribute featuring Addis Pablo alongside DJ Isis Swaby and other special guest performers, honoring the life and music of the late reggae legend.
The tribute weekend will continue on Sunday, June 21, at the famed Kingston Dub Club, where fans and supporters will gather for another evening dedicated to Augustus Pablo's timeless contributions to reggae and dub music. The event promises a celebration of the Rockers legacy, bringing together generations of musicians and fans inspired by his groundbreaking sound.
