26-year-old Jamaican talent Zaliyah making her first strides in the music industry. While she is only now stepping into the spotlight, entertainment, particularly music, has played a major role in her life from an early age.
Growing up around music and dance both in Jamaica and overseas, she developed a natural connection to rhythm, performance, and Caribbean culture.
“I was always sitting beside the kids in my community, dancing, vibing, and singing. That’s what built my passion, along with the support and encouragement from my parents,” she shared.
Her musical influences range from reggae acts like Chronixx and Alaine to more global sounds such as Tracy Chapman, helping shape a sound that blends authenticity with modern Caribbean influences. Her music reflects themes of growth and ambition while maintaining an entertaining and relatable energy.y.
The rising talent is now working with acclaimed producer Ricardo “Redboom Supamix” Reid, refining her sound and artistic direction. “For my upcoming songs, I’m leaning more into a reggae-dancehall sound. I want to bring my own touch of spice to the industry and show that young people can make music in that field,” Zaliyah expressed.
With new music on the horizon, she is preparing to introduce her voice and energy to the next wave of Jamaican talent.
