Renee 6:30 Wants the Ladies Feeling Confident With “Dats It”

Recording artiste Renee 6:30 says her latest release is all about giving women a vibe that makes them feel independent and confident. “The beat was the perfect vibe, and I could express myself,” she said.

Jamaican recording artiste Renee 6:30 has big expectations for her latest single, “Dats It,” as she continues to build on her transition from dancer to recording artiste.

The single premiered last Friday via LuxuryWorld Ent and Muladon Records, accompanied by a vibrant music video that keeps things visually interesting with several colourful looks, including exotic glow-in-the-dark body-paint scenes.

“It’s a vibe where the ladies can feel independent and good about themselves listening to ‘Dats It,’ because I’m a very confident female and that’s how I want the ladies to feel listening to my song,” Renee 6:30 told Kaboom Magazine.

The former dancer said finding the right production was important in allowing her personality and delivery to come through naturally on the track. “It was very important because the beat was the perfect vibe and I could express myself, knowing the ladies who are going to listen to my song can 100 percent relate to what I’m singing about,” she said.

Renee 6:30 said a music video was always part of the plan, while also speaking highly of her chemistry with producer and popular media influencer Sher Luxury Doll of LuxuryWorld Ent, who was closely involved throughout the recording process.

“It helped because me and Sher knew exactly what we wanted on the track, and she, as a producer, knew exactly the vibe she wanted from me,” Renee explained. “She was in the studio every step of the way and gave her points and opinions just to make sure the song was perfect and came to life as we planned.”

Media personality and producer Sher Luxury Doll said the pair are already working on new material and praised Renee’s ability to bring her personality and versatility into the studio.

“What Renee does differently is bring personality into the studio. She doesn’t just record a song, she feels it,” Sher said. “She’s not afraid to try different melodies, flows or approaches until she finds what fits her.”

She added that Renee’s background as a dancer remains an advantage as she develops her sound. “Her background as a dancer also gives her a different sense of rhythm and timing, so she hears music differently. I think that versatility, confidence and willingness to experiment are what make her stand out as an artiste.”
