Reggae firebrand Queen Ifrica returns with her fourth studio album, Breath of Life, released via Nuh Rush Records/Tuff Gong International.

The 13-track project is led by longtime collaborator and manager Junior Brown, with additional production from multiple-Grammy winner Stephen “Ragga” Marley, who produced the album’s powerful title track. The project also includes previously released singles “Mom Like Me” and “Lanton (Lantern).”

Rooted in classic one-drop reggae, Breath of Life finds the Montego Bay native exploring life, love, spirituality, sensuality and social consciousness while showcasing her commanding vocals and lyrical depth.

Tracks such as “Speechless,” “Pelican,” “Bad Girl,” “Excellent Jah” and “Weeping Willow” move between vulnerability, uplifting island energy and messages of faith and unity. “New Version of Me” features the album’s only guest appearances, from Ifrica’s children talaented Tanzie, Malawi and Imeru Tafari, before the project closes with the militant “Lanton (Lantern).”

“Working on this album was my absolute pleasure. I completely and totally enjoyed every moment of the process - the people I got to work with, the record label I'm a part of. The energy every time in the studio when we met to do the recordings was always on the highest of frequencies,” Queen Ifrica shared. “I'm so humbled and honored that the project is finally here, about to be released to a beautiful audience of music lovers all over the world. I pray that it will bring comfort to the listeners' ears, joy to the spirit, and all the different emotions that I shared in the album will be accepted with a wholesomeness that is unexplainable”.

In support of the release, the singer is also set to celebrate the release with a special album release show at London’s legendary Jazz Cafe on August 25.
