Trinibad artiste Plumpy Boss has opened up about his ongoing recovery after suffering a life-threatening gunshot wound in 2024.

Speaking during an interview with Sachy at Trinidad radio station Red 96.7, alongside fellow artiste K-Man, Plumpy Boss shared an encouraging update on his health while revealing that he was unable to walk for 19 months.

“My health, I’m doing good. I have a few little things to deal with in terms of the recovery, therapy and stuff. I couldn’t walk for 19 months. I’m working on it with therapy, but it will be okay. I’m a strong individual,” he told Sachy. “By the grace of God, in a few months everything will be okay.”

Plumpy Boss was shot in the head during a targeted ambush in St. Maarten in 2024. He was initially left in critical condition and a coma before being airlifted to Trinidad, where he underwent emergency brain surgery.

In August 2026, Plumpy Boss and fellow Trinibad artiste K-Man, formerly known as K-Man Sixxx, publicly declared a truce following mediation by officials in Trinidad and Tobago aimed at easing tensions surrounding the local music scene. The two later shared the stage at a SummerStage concert.
