Dancehall’s emerging talent Nhance drops his new project, Romantic Monsta EP, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The seven-track offering leans heavily into themes of love and admiration for women, but the artiste says it also serves as a reminder to men that vulnerability does not cancel masculinity.
“When people hear the word ‘Monsta,’ they automatically think intensity, toughness, dominance,” Nhance explained. “I wanted to challenge that perception. This project shows that you can have that strong presence and still be romantic. It’s about balance - embracing your power while being open enough to love deeply.”
According to the deejay, the EP is meant to encourage emotional maturity among men. “Some men were raised to believe that showing affection makes you weak. That mindset needs to change. You can be assertive, confident, and still treat a woman with care and respect. Loving properly doesn’t reduce who you are; it enhances it.”
While he hopes male listeners take that lesson on board, Nhance says the EP is ultimately a celebration of women. “The feedback has been overwhelming - the support and anticipation are strong,” he shared. “More than anything, I want women to feel cherished. This project is about appreciation. It’s about reminding them that they deserve effort, attention, and genuine love, not just on Valentine’s Day, but every day.”
Each song, he says, captures a different shade of romance. “Every record taps into a different mood, whether it’s passion, admiration, or commitment, but the foundation is the same. It’s all rooted in love.”
The timing of the release, just before Valentine’s Day, was no accident. Nhance intentionally wanted the music to soundtrack the season. “I see these songs playing during date nights, special moments, even just vibing at home. The goal is for Romantic Monsta to become part of people’s memories during that time.”
“Every record taps into a different mood, whether it’s passion, admiration, or commitment, but the foundation is the same. It’s all rooted in love.”
Although he proudly admits he’s a lover at heart year-round, his immediate focus remains on elevating his craft. “I’m naturally someone who believes in love in all forms,” he said. “But right now, it’s about the music and making sure the fans connect with the project. Everything else will fall into place.”
Distributed by ONErpm, Romantic Monsta serves as the follow-up to his debut EP, Monsta of My Era, which introduced listeners to his range, including the heartfelt tribute “Mama,” dedicated to his mother, Dancehall artiste Sheba. With this new release, Nhance continues to prove that strength and softness can coexist - and that modern Dancehall has space for both.
