Following her recent win at the Jamaican trials, sprint hurdler Megan Tapper continued her impressive form on Friday, claiming her first-ever Diamond League victory at age 31.
She delivered a commanding performance in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Monaco meet, equaling her personal best with a time of 12.34 seconds.
The Olympic bronze medallist edged out Switzerland’s Ditaji Kambundji, the world indoor silver medallist, who finished second in 12.43. Dutch hurdler Nadine Visser took third in 12.56, while Olympic champion Masai Russell placed fourth in 12.57.
Triple jump national champion Jordan Scott delivered a stunning performance with a personal best of 17.52m to win his event, setting a new world lead result this year. Algeria’s Yasser Triki secured second place with a best mark of 17.23m.
