Dancehall superstar Masicka returns with his third single of 2026, delivering a commanding new track, “Slip & Slide,” which dropped Friday, April 24, debuting at #3 on the U.S. iTunes Reggae Songs chart.
The release marks his first solo collaboration with acclaimed producer Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor, signaling a fresh creative link between the two.
“I’ve always been a fan of his music, so I’m grateful for this, a first of many,” Di Genius shared. “He’s super easy to work with and a really good candidate to merge the cultures. What I'm trying to do with the riddim is bring it to light for the new generation, and use him as a current frontrunner of the genre. It’s always good vibes, a bad artist.”
Both previously collaborated on “Hit & Run” by Shenseea, featured on her Never Gets Late Here album, with the track amassing over 179 million views on YouTube and more than 55.5 million streams on Spotify to date.
For Masicka, who is currently working on his third studio album, the release follows his recent single “Boasty” from March and “Life Of A Sin” (February). He also recently teamed up with Protoje on “Ting Loud,” featured on the reggae star’s latest album.
