While riding the momentum of his chart-topping singles "Van Cleef" and "Van Cleef Pt. 2", along with a string of sold-out performances, a standout appearance in St. Lucia, and a week-long media tour across New York City, dancehall artiste Malie Donn is bringing the campaign home with a nationwide Jamaica press run ahead of the release of his highly anticipated debut studio album, The Golden Child.
Originally scheduled for July 24, the 21-track project has been pushed back and is now set for release on September 4 via VP Records, giving the team additional time to maximize its global rollout.
The New York promotional run saw Malie Donn appear on some of the city's leading media platforms, including Way Up with Angela Yee, Billboard, EBONY, Bar4BarTV, and several other influential outlets, where he introduced international audiences to the story behind The Golden Child and his rapid rise in dancehall.
The deejay now turns his focus to fans at home as he prepares to connect with local media and supporters ahead of the release of his new single, "Holiday," due on August 7. The track serves as the latest preview of The Golden Child, offering another glimpse into the highly anticipated debut.
"The response over the past few weeks has been incredible," said Malie Donn. "From Brooklyn to St. Lucia and New York, the support has reminded me how much this music is connecting with people. Now I'm looking forward to coming home, sharing this next chapter with Jamaica, and getting everyone ready for Holiday and The Golden Child."
The Jamaica media tour marks the next phase of the album campaign as Malie Donn continues to build momentum ahead of the September 4 release. Just one day later, on September 5, he will headline Indigo at The O2 in London, where demand has surged and tickets are nearing a sell-out, capping off a pivotal week in the rising dancehall star's career.
"From Brooklyn to St. Lucia and New York, the support has reminded me how much this music is connecting with people. Now I'm looking forward to coming home, sharing this next chapter with Jamaica, and getting everyone ready for Holiday and The Golden Child."
This version flows more like a magazine feature, removes repetition, clarifies the album delay, and builds naturally toward the London headline show as the climax of the campaign.
