Veteran selector, entrepreneur, and dancehall advocate Marlon “Boom Boom” Wizzard has been officially named a Magnum Tonic Wine Brand Ambassador, recognizing his decades-long contribution to Jamaica's dancehall culture through his influential role as a selector, promoter, and curator of weekly street events.
The announcement was made during Magnum Reggae Sumfest 2026 at Plantation Cove in St. Ann, where Boom Boom was honored as a true "Champion of Dancehall" and cultural icon. As part of the tribute, he received a premium custom collectible jacket designed by Tribe Nine Studios—a one-of-a-kind piece celebrating more than 30 years of dedication to preserving, promoting, and elevating Jamaican music, as well as the island's street dance and sound system culture.
According to Magnum Brand Manager Brandon Wallace, naming Boom Boom as a brand ambassador underscores Magnum's longstanding dedication to supporting the people who continue to shape dancehall. “Boom Boom’s influence extends far beyond the turntables. He has consistently been a positive force within the culture, creating opportunities, celebrating Jamaican music and helping to keep dancehall at the forefront of popular culture. At Magnum, we believe in recognising individuals who embody the spirit of the brand and have made meaningful contributions to the industry,” Wallace said.
He further added, “Our relationship with Boom Boom has been built over many years through our support of the dancehall community and the staple events, including his signature event, Boom Sundays. Throughout that time, he has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the culture, making ambassadorship a fitting next step. We are proud to officially welcome him as a Magnum Brand Ambassador and look forward to building on this partnership as we continue to champion dancehall together.”

Boom Boom described the partnership as one built on a shared passion for the culture. “I am overwhelmed. To be the Brand Ambassador for this powerful drink of dancehall is a dream come true. And you know what they say, with power comes great responsibility. I have been flying out all over the world and I never stop advocate for Jamaican music in general, reggae and dancehall and it doesn’t stop any time soon. Magnum has always supported me through events, sharing the same love and loyalty to dancehall and they will be turning it up a notch. And then this partnership is going to help me turn it up a bigger notch in the streets,” Boom Boom noted.
At this year's "A Taste of Reggae Sumfest", Boom Boom once again demonstrated why he remains one of dancehall's most respected ambassadors, delivering a high-energy set while also serving as one of the event's hosts.
