Konshens to Headline Major Uganda Concert as He Nears 1.5 Billion Spotify Streams

Jamaican Dancehall star Konshens is set to headline Vibe Republic, a major music and cultural event scheduled for Friday, December 11, 2026, at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, Uganda.

The singjay will perform alongside South African Amapiano heavyweight DJ Maphorisa, bringing together two of the most popular musical sounds from the Caribbean and Africa.

Presented by Explore Uganda, Talent Africa Group and Swangz Avenue, Vibe Republic aims to position Uganda as a leading entertainment destination while promoting tourism and cultural connections across the region. The event is expected to attract music lovers from across East Africa, including Kenya, Tanzania and beyond.

Konshens has established a strong fanbase across East Africa, particularly in Kenya, where he ranks among the country's most popular Jamaican Dancehall artistes alongside Vybz Kartel. His extensive catalogue, featuring international hits such as "Gal a Bubble," "Bruk Off Yuh Back" and "Pull Up to Mi Bumper," has helped extend his influence far beyond Jamaica.

The upcoming Kampala concert follows Konshens' recent performances in Australia, where he received strong support from African fans, particularly members of the Kenyan diaspora, reflecting his popularity among audiences far beyond the Caribbean. He is also scheduled to perform in Doha, Qatar, on October 22.
