Kes The Band, set to embark on European tour

Soca superstar Kes the Band has announced a three-city European tour set to kick off on April 30 in Paris at Cabaret Sauvage, followed by Amsterdam on May 1 at Paradiso, before wrapping up on May 2 at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. The London date is promoted by Live Nation UK and boasts a 5,000-capacity venue.

The announcement comes as soca music continues to expand its footprint across the UK and Europe. In 2024, Kes the Band successfully sold out London’s O2 Indigo, drawing over 3,000 fans. Early projections suggest this upcoming show could surpass 4,000 attendees, with strong potential to fill the larger 5,000-capacity O2 Academy Brixton as soca continues its upward trajectory on the international stage.

Kes’ biggest hit of 2025, “Cocoa Tea,” charted strongly internationally, topping the US iTunes Reggae chart and going viral on TikTok-helping the record reach an even wider global audience and further fueling demand for his live performances abroad.

Soca’s expansion into major European cities with established Caribbean diaspora communities signals the genre’s continued growth in the region and positions it to break into even broader international markets.
