Rising Jamaican sensation teams up with Juno Award-winning singer Naomi Cowan for a single inspired by a first love story

"I wanted everyone could experience the nostalgia I feel when I think back on those times"
Emerging Jamaican sensation Justice Case teams up with Juno Award-winning singer Naomi Cowan on “So In Love,” a smooth, groove-driven single that leans into the resurgence of lovers rock with a modern twist. Released April 24, 2026 via Delicious Vinyl Island, the track blends nostalgic emotion with contemporary polish, positioning both artistes in a fresh sonic space.
Co-produced by Cloud Beats and J.L.L., “So In Love” is built on warm reggae textures layered with subtle R&B influences. The instrumental carries a laid-back bounce, creating room for expressive melodies and seamless vocal interplay. The final product is elevated by engineer Gabriel ‘Holii Beats’ Nunes, whose clean, radio-ready finish ties the record together.
At its core, the single explores the innocence and excitement of new love. For Justice, the inspiration came from a deeply personal place. Reflecting on the track’s emotional direction, he shared that it draws from early memories of having a first crush—those nervous, butterfly-filled moments that leave a lasting impression. “I think reminiscing on being in primary school and having that first crush, the butterflies that fill your stomach, I wanted to take that feeling and convert it into music so everyone could experience the nostalgia I feel when I think back on those times,” he said.
The chemistry between Justice and Cowan stands out as one of the record’s strongest elements. According to Justice, their connection in the studio came naturally. “Both of us come from similar backgrounds - her mom being a world-renowned gospel singer from Jamaica and my father being a bass guitarist who worked in the same space of music, so we related on that, and from there we developed our own relationship. It’s truly a blessing to know her,” Justice said.
Behind the scenes, the production and engineering team played a key role in shaping the song’s identity. Justice credits both producers for crafting the sonic foundation, while adding, “Holii is a wizard when it comes to engineering - he’s been able to record the majority of my upcoming tracks. JLL and Cloud Beats were also the wizards who created the magic of the production on this record.”
“So In Love” arrives at a time when lovers rock continues to find renewed appreciation among audiences. Justice believes the genre’s resurgence is tied to a simple truth: people are craving genuine connection.

The singer also outlined plans for a forthcoming project. “I’m definitely working on a small project to present to my audience, to introduce them to a new version of Justice. I’ve been more inspired by the sounds of reggae and the classic elements of traditional Jamaica, and I plan on showcasing that in my next body of work,” Justice revealed.
With its smooth delivery, relatable theme, and cross-genre appeal, “So In Love” stands as a notable new entry in the evolving lovers rock revival within the local music landscape.
