Trinidadian multi-genre artist Jimmy October continues to showcase his genre-bending artistry with his new four-track EP, SOUNDS OF JAVA, delivering another vibrant blend of sounds rooted in his Caribbean identity.

The title draws inspiration from what Trinbagonians call “Java,” short for July/August Vacation, and the project serves as a soundtrack to the season.

It captures what Java feels like through songs made to accompany the final stretch of summer while carrying an energy designed to live far beyond it.

Fresh off being announced as a nominee for Caribbean Fusion Artist of the Year at the Caribbean Music Awards, October continues to shape the distinctive sound audiences have come to know him for. SOUNDS OF JAVA captures what the July/August vacation feels, looks and sounds like, while building on a musical identity he has spent nearly a decade defining and nurturing since the release of his Vacation EP in 2017.
