The Diamond League Finals in Brussels continue on Saturday, September 14, marking the second and final day of the season, which was briefly halted by the peak of the Paris Olympics.
Jamaica’s rising 100m hurdles sensation, Ackera Nugent, secured a third-place finish with a time of 12.55s, just behind the Netherlands' Nadine Visser, who clocked 12.54s. Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quinn clinched the title with an impressive 12.38s.
Italian Leonardo Fabbri led from start to finish to win his first Diamond League trophy, throwing 22.98m in the men's shot put. He outperformed American Ryan Crouser, who placed second with 22.79m, and Jamaica's Rajindra Campbell, who finished third with 21.95m.
In the women's 400m hurdles, Netherlands star athlete Femke Bol dominated at the Brussels Diamond League final, clocking 52.45s to win. She beat American Anna Cockrell, who finished second in 53.71s, while Jamaica's Shiann Salmon set a time of 53.99s to finish 3rd.
