Jamaican racing driver Sara Misir opened the 2026 UIM E1 World Championship in style, claiming victory at the E1 Jeddah Grand Prix.
Competing for the Aoki Racing Team, Misir delivered a composed and confident drive under pressure, navigating a demanding race weekend to secure her first Grand Prix win in the team’s iconic pink livery and set the tone for the new season.
“It feels good. Dani went out there and finished P1, so I knew I had big boots to fill,” Misir shared after the race. “I went out, kept my head down, and tried my hardest.”
Her standout performance earned her the Pilot of the Day honour, recognising her consistency, race intelligence, and execution across the finals, as she played a key role in securing overall victory for the team. Misir also received the PIF Pilot of the Day award, marking an impressive debut with Aoki Racing and highlighting her control and composure under pressure throughout the day’s racing.
Attention now shifts to Europe, with the E1 World Championship heading to Lake Como from April 24–25 as the global series continues its 2026 tour.
