Reggae singer Jah9 has unveiled her new Open Heart project, a deeply personal body of work three years in the making.

Described by the singer as “Neo-Reggae-Soul,” the 8-track project offering explores the many dimensions of love - what it asks of us and what it reveals.

“There is a particular quality to love when you stop managing it. When you let it be as large as it actually is. When you follow it all the way through, past the recognition, past the storm, to what it was pointing at the whole time,” Jah9 shared in an official statement.

“There are things you have not yet said out loud. Things you have felt and filed away. Saved for later. Saved for safer. What happens when later becomes now? When you stop waiting for the right conditions and bring all of yourself into the room. The Open Heart Project does not begin with an answer. It begins with the willingness to stay in the feeling long enough to find out,” she said.

The established reggae singer hosted the launch at the iconic Harry J Studios, including Joby Jay, Jah-Lil, Akina Eman, and others, highlighting the strong community backing behind the project. continuing a productive year following her performance at Lost In Time Festival earlier this year.
