Jah Vinci is officially part of the lineup for Vybz Kartel's highly anticipated "Freedom Street" New Year's Eve concert. Kartel shared the flyer early on Thursday, December 26, via his Instagram account, sparking excitement among fans.

This announcement follows what appears to be a family reunion of the former Portmore Empire. Jah Vinci, accompanied by his manager and the Empire’s closing producer, Ainsley "Notnice" Morris, participated in rehearsals at the Downsound Entertainment studio. This marks a possible first link-up in over 13 years since Kartel's release from prison.

During Kartel’s incarceration, tensions reportedly arose within the camp. Jah Vinci and Notnice allegedly had a falling out with Popcaan, but recent developments suggest their relationships have improved. Notnice and Popcaan were even photographed together, signaling reconciliation.

Another former member, Blak Ryno, has also reconnected with the Gaza camp. He was recently seen on a video call with Kartel and Popcaan, fueling speculation that he may join the concert lineup. If confirmed, the event would feature the entire Empire, including Tommy Lee Sparta, Sean Storm, Gaza Indu, Sheba, and now Jah Vinci.

In a recent interview on the Fix podcast, Kartel emphasized moving forward from past feuds, focusing on business, music, health, and family. He also shared plans for a Gaza-Gully international tour, potentially alongside his longtime rival Mavado, generating significant buzz among fans.

The "Freedom Street" concert is shaping up to be a historic moment for dancehall fans worldwide. In addition to the former Portmore Empire members, the star-studded lineup includes Spice, Skillibeng, Chronic Law, Kartel's sons Likkle Vybz and Likkle Addi, as well as international acts like Busta Rhymes and Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale.
