Teejay, ready to capitalize on this momentum with massive collab (Jamar Cleary)

With one of the 2023 summer anthems, 'Drift' and his spectacular performance at the latest Reggae Sumfest, Teejay is ready to capitalize on this momentum heading into the final half of the year.

With under 2 weeks remaining until the highly anticipated BZR Weekend, the excitement across the island is palpable. The star-studded lineup is a perfect blend of international and local acts, with Timoy Jones more popularly known as Teejay, undoubtedly one of Jamaica’s most prolific acts; a heavyweight on ‘Chris Brown and Friends’.

The 28-year-old singjay is currently working on his 8-Track debut EP 'I Am Chippy', with hints of features with fellow dancehall star, Skillibeng and possibly a surprising gigantic international collaboration.

As the speculation increases, the dancehall deejay/singjay is about to reap the fruits of his labor after his most publicized deal with a major American label, Warner Music. Teejay is set to unveil his brewing collaboration with R&B phenomenon, Chris Brown, on stage at the upcoming event. Press releases from the promoters, led by his management team, Solid Agency have also hinted at the imminent collaboration with sources close to Kaboom Magazine all confirming this is an option.

The Montego Bay native has etched himself as a global ambassador for the genre, joining an elite small number of dancehall acts with major record label backing. Under the guidance of dancehall matriarch Sharon Burke, the ‘Owna Lane’ crooner seeks to give dancehall a global representation that is unprecedented.

Would it be a surprise to see Chris Brown and Teejay ‘drifting’ together live on stage, August 27th at the National Stadium and major collaboration between the 2 following, in short order?
