Govana Hits 300M Total YouTube Views as “Itsy Bitsy” Builds Momentum

While riding the momentum of his recent single “Itsy Bitsy” on Di Genius' viral Hills & Gully riddim, dancehall star Govana has surpassed 300 million total views on YouTube.

Known for his catchy phrases, playful lyricism, and creative delivery, Govana has steadily built a strong résumé over the past decade. Seamlessly transitioning between hard-hitting reality tracks and girl-centric hits, the Spanish Town deejay continues to prove his hit-making ability.

His catalogue is led by breakout single “Champ,” which has amassed over 13 million views, alongside “Saved by Psalms” featuring Popcaan, which boasts a similar tally and appears on his sophomore album Legacy.

Other tracks from the masterpiece project, including “Four Storey” with 9.9 million views and “Earth A Hell” featuring Mavado (over 8 million views), also rank among his most successful releases. Meanwhile, his 2021 hit “1Matik” continues to perform strongly, approaching 10 million views to date.

While his sophomore album Legacy has amassed over 60 million streams on Spotify, his recent single “Itsy Bitsy” continues to gain momentum, surging to #6 on YouTube’s Trending chart in Jamaica.
