American singer JoZee is gearing up to release her first reggae gospel album, Who God Says I Am, on October 6.

Produced by Main Street Records’ Danny Browne, the 15-track project features collaborations with Jamaican gospel artistes Prodigal Son, Papa San and Shepperd.

“The idea is that my identity is defined by what God says about me rather than by others’ opinions or my past circumstances,” JoZee explained. “The message is about hope, faith, and transformation.”

The Italian-American singer, who is married to a Jamaican and splits her time between Jamaica and the United States, spent nearly three years working on the album.

JoZee also praised her experience working with Prodigal Son and Browne, describing their sessions as a “songwriter masterclass.”

Who God Says I Am marks JoZee’s fourth album overall and continues her journey into reggae gospel. Her previous work with Browne includes “First Love Letter” featuring Prodigal Son, along with “Dancin’ Like King David” and “Your Name Is Power.”

“The idea is that my identity is defined by what God says about me rather than by others’ opinions or my past circumstances. The message is about hope, faith, and transformation.”

Her connection with Jamaica has continued to grow through performances at Genesis Praise Fest, The Experience and Prodigal Son’s Legacy Launch.
