Vybz Kartel and Mavado set for potential blockbuster UK staging?

The defining Gaza vs. Gully staging could be set for another chapter in Europe this summer, with UK fans potentially witnessing one of dancehall's most memorable moments.

Sources indicate that dancehall heavyweights Vybz Kartel and Mavado could bring their legendary Gaza vs. Gully clash to a UK stage for the first time. While no official announcement has been made, the reported staging would follow Kartel's record-breaking Worl' Boss Global Tour last year, which attracted more than 80,000 fans across the UK, including two historic sold-out shows at London's The O2 Arena - the first by a dancehall artiste. If the event materializes, The O2 is viewed as a strong potential venue.

Before that, the two icons are already scheduled to appear at Taste of Reggae during Reggae Sumfest 2026 on July 18 at Plantation Cove. They are also set to reunite under Kartel's Freedom Street banner in Malta from September 11–13. The event has already sold out, with a significant number of fans expected to travel from the UK.
