Double Seven Energy Drink is turning up the heat and national pride this summer with the launch of its Limited Edition Jamaican can, boldly wrapped in the black, green, and gold of the island’s flag. As part of its “Celebrate Jamaica” campaign, the homegrown brand is inviting Jamaicans to showcase their cultural pride and creativity in the Double Seven "Match the Can" social media contest.
“Double Seven is proud to be a bold, high-energy Jamaican favourite and this summer, we’re turning up the pride even more with our Limited Edition Jamaican can,” Bobette Bolton, Senior Brand Manager at Double Seven Energy Drink, told Kaboom Magazine. “This campaign is all about celebrating Jamaican identity—our colours, creativity, and confidence—and giving our consumers a chance to express that energy.”
At the heart of the campaign is the #Double7MatchtheCan challenge, a style-forward competition where participants dress in outfits matching the Jamaican-themed can and post their photos or videos on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook.
“It’s simple! Grab our Limited Edition Jamaican Double Seven can, put together an outfit that matches the can, and post it with the hashtag #Double7MatchtheCan,” Bolton explained. “You must tag @DoubleSevenJamaica and follow us, and don’t forget your profile must be public!”
The campaign comes with exciting rewards: a luxury weekend for two at a top Jamaican resort, 100 cases of Double Seven, exclusive goodie bags, and live pop-up activations across the island with music, games, and giveaways. Events are already rolling out every Friday and Saturday from mid-July to early August, with stops in Portmore, Spanish Town, Ocho Rios, Mandeville, and more.
