Dancehall general Bounty Killer is set to make his long-awaited return to the U.S. stage on Saturday, July 5, at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, in a show aptly dubbed “The Return of The Warlord.”
The event, presented by CJ Milan—the promoter behind the Reggae Tour and Vybz Kartel’s historic two sold-out shows in April—marks Bounty Killer’s first U.S. performance in 15 years, following the reinstatement of his visa earlier this year.
His visa was reinstated in March, allowing him to make a quick visit to the States, where he reunited with some of his children and linked up with world-renowned DJ Khaled, who maintains a close connection with Jamaica’s music scene.
With Bounty Killer now added to the list of returning icons—including Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel, and Buju Banton—his comeback signals a powerful moment for dancehall. Fans are already envisioning a historic scene: Bounty Killer and Vybz Kartel sharing the U.S. stage together for the first time.
