Dancehall Artiste Abblo Music Has Passed Away After New Kingston Shooting

The rising entertainer, known for “Stink” and “Stink Badness,” reportedly succumbed to his injuries a month after being shot, his label confirmed on Tuesday night

Rising dancehall artiste Abblo, known for street-oriented tracks including “Stink” and “Stink Badness,” has died after succumbing to injuries sustained in a shooting incident in New Kingston.

The entertainer, whose given name was Pete Gabbidon, was shot and injured by gunmen on July 11, 2026, and had reportedly remained hospitalized while fighting for his life. His management team at Lodescity Records confirmed his passing in a statement on Wednesday.

“It is with deepest sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved artist, Pete ‘Abblo’ Gabbidon, who passed away today at the hospital,” the label shared.

Lodescity Records remembered Abblo as more than an artiste, describing him as “a valued member of our team, a brother, and a creative force whose talent, energy, and presence touched many people throughout his career.”

The team also thanked supporters who followed Abblo throughout his musical journey, noting that “every stream, share, message, show, and word of encouragement meant something and helped carry his career forward,” while asking the public to respect the privacy of his family and loved ones as they mourn his death.

DJ Antsman, one of Abblo’s closest friends and managers, said it will take time to come to terms with the artiste’s passing and the loss of someone with whom he shared such a close personal and professional bond.
