Dancehall meets Reggae royalty, Cham with the Marleys
Jamaican dancehall veteran Baby Cham, also known as Cham, has joined forces with Grammy-winning reggae legends Stephen Marley and Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley for a powerful new collaboration titled “Hustling In My Blood”.
This star-powered single marks the official lead from Cham’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, Sherlock, set to drop on July 25.
The track was released on Friday, July 11, via Cham’s Lawless Army Music imprint and premiered with an official video filmed at various locations in Miami. The visuals, directed by Jay Lenz (whose credits include Finesse2tymes and Plies), feature impassioned performances from all three titans of the genre, driving home the message that no matter the occupation, hustle is essential to achieving success.
“This song is an anthem!” Cham states, “a true hustler’s anthem!! It reminds people that you can make it through anything, you just can’t give up!”.
The track boasts production from world-renowned producers The FaNaTiX, whose catalog includes records with heavyweights Vybz Kartel, Giggs, Popcaan, Stylo G, and Nicki Minaj, to name a few.
Each artist brings his unique lyrical craftsmanship to the table to create an undeniable hit record, as Cham and Jr. Gong deliver rapid-fire verses over militant drums and bold horns, while Stephen Marley anchors the track with a commanding chorus.
