When the CB Foods team and the Friends Who Care outreach group arrived at the Mustard Seed Children’s Home in Spanish, excitement rippled through the grounds, with children eagerly welcoming familiar faces and festive cheer.
On Sunday, December 21, children from Dare to Care and Martha’s House were treated to an early Christmas celebration, made possible through the continued efforts of Friends Who Care with support from CB Foods. The day overflowed with laughter, games, music, and hearty meals—capturing the true essence of the season.
More than 30 children participated in the festivities, enjoying hours of fun and meaningful moments that made the event unforgettable. This year also marked the 13th staging of the annual Christmas Treat, organized by Friends Who Care, a committed outreach group made up of both past and present members of the CB Group.

The CB Group aims to make a lasting difference, and through “Friends Who Care,” its members have consistently dedicated their time, care, and resources to supporting children in needת providing not only essential items, but also meaningful interaction and positive role models.
“Over the years, we’ve built a genuine bond with the children, and it’s one that keeps us coming back,” shared Roxanne Isaacs, Outreach Coordinator at CB Group and a founding member of Friends Who Care. “They’re always excited to see us, and we truly enjoy spending time with them. The appreciation from both the children and staff makes the experience incredibly rewarding.”
Reflecting on the impact of the initiative, Isaacs added, “Just driving through the gates of the home gives me a warm feeling. The small part we play brings us joy and makes a significant impact on the children and their caregivers. This experience is truly fulfilling for us. We aim to do all that we can to support them.”
“Our purpose is to make a difference, and initiatives like Friends Who Care bring that purpose to life. Our mission goes beyond food, and during the Christmas season especially, we believe in using food as a way to show care, connection, and compassion.”
Melissa Williams, Assistant Administrator at the Mustard Seed Children’s Home, expressed her gratitude for the long-standing support.
“The children genuinely look forward to this treat every year,” she said. “They’re always excited to engage with the team, and the interaction is filled with respect, joy, and warmth. This year’s celebration lasted close to three hours, with talent performances, games, and lots of laughter. We’re truly grateful for the time, care, and effort poured into making this such a meaningful experience for our children and staff.”
For CB Foods, the initiative reflects the heart of the company’s commitment to community upliftment. In support of the Christmas Treat, CB Foods supplied chicken and ham through its brands CB Chicken and Caribbean Passion Smoked Meats, ensuring the children enjoyed a warm and tasty meal on the day as well as products for them to have a hearty Christmas Dinner.
Samantha Fisher, Assistant Brand Manager at CB Foods highlighted the importance of the initiative. “At CB Group, our purpose is to make a difference, and initiatives like Friends Who Care bring that purpose to life,” Fisher said. “Our mission goes beyond food, and during the Christmas season especially, we believe in using food as a way to show care, connection, and compassion. Through our theme Good Food Made to Share, we’re grateful to be able to bring comfort and joy to children and caregivers while supporting initiatives that truly uplift communities.”
She added, “Friends Who Care is an employee-led initiative made up of past and present CB Group team members who are passionate about giving back. CB Foods is proud to support that passion. Over the years, this relationship has grown into a meaningful tradition, where our brands help provide nourishment, and the team delivers impact on the ground through genuine care and connection.”
As the holiday season unfolds, initiatives like this highlight the impact of care and community. Thanks to Friends Who Care and the support of CB Foods, children enjoyed meaningful moments that strengthen tradition and remind them they’re truly supported.
