CB Chicken and Tru-Juice extend their partnership by supporting Linstead Public Hospital's meal programme, strengthening a longstanding commitment to community development and wellbeing

The brands continue their commitment to community development
Strong Jamaican brands continue to unite in support of community development. Through the longstanding Tru-Juice 5K Run/Walk partnership, CB Chicken recently donated 10 cases of chicken to Linstead Public Hospital, supporting a healthcare facility that serves thousands of residents across Linstead and surrounding communities.
The donation will assist the hospital’s meal programme, helping to provide nutritious meals for patients and staff while supporting the institution’s daily operations.
Camile Wallen-Panton, CEO of Linstead Public Hospital, welcomed the donation and highlighted its impact. “The donation of chicken to the hospital is greatly appreciated and warmly welcomed. Such a contribution plays an important role in supporting the wellbeing of our patients and staff, and it was very timely at this time of the year.”

Wallen-Panton said the ongoing partnership continues to bring meaningful benefits to the hospital and the people it serves. “The partnership between CB Chicken and Linstead Public Hospital has continued to grow stronger over the years. This donation helps us meet the nutritional needs of our patients while also supporting staff welfare. Contributions like these allow us to focus resources on other critical areas of care while continuing to provide the level of service our community depends on.”
Samantha Fisher, Assistant Brand Manager at CB Foods, said the donation reflects CB Chicken’s commitment to nutrition and community support. “As a producer of safe, quality protein, we understand the important role nutrition plays in overall health and recovery. We wanted to make a difference in a way that could have an immediate impact, and through this donation, we’re helping to support the hospital’s ability to provide nourishing meals to patients and staff while contributing to the important work they do every day.”
Fisher added that community support must be consistent. “Community support isn’t a one-time effort; it’s something that requires consistency. After seeing the impact our donation had last year, it was important for us to return and continue supporting Linstead Public Hospital.”
“We wanted to make a difference in a way that could have an immediate impact, and through this donation, we’re helping to support the hospital’s ability to provide nourishing meals to patients and staff while contributing to the important work they do every day.”
The initiative also reflects the longstanding relationship between CB Foods and Trade Winds Citrus, manufacturers of Tru-Juice. Beyond the annual 5K, the companies have collaborated for years on programmes such as PAN, creating opportunities to support entrepreneurs, strengthen communities, and drive meaningful impact.
Lauren Lechler, Marketing Manager at Trade Winds Citrus, said the partnership continues to show what can be achieved when organizations come together around a shared goal.
“CB Chicken has been a valued partner of the Tru-Juice 5K, helping us extend the impact of the event beyond race day and into the wider community. This contribution to Linstead Public Hospital reflects the values that have defined our partnership over the years. Whether through the Tru-Juice 5K or initiatives like PAN, we’ve consistently found opportunities to work together to support the communities we serve and create meaningful, lasting impact.”

“Contributions like these allow us to focus resources on other critical areas of care.”
As the Tru-Juice 5K continues to rally support for Linstead Public Hospital, the partnership between CB Chicken and Tru-Juice highlights the impact of corporate collaboration. Through the union of “A Better Tasting Chicken” and “The Juice of Jamaica,” both brands continue to make a meaningful difference in the communities they serve.
