Caymanas Park is set to host one of its biggest music events yet as dancehall superstar Masicka brings his Forever1NE Music Festival to the venue on Saturday, December 19.
The event will mark Masicka’s first time headlining his own festival in Portmore, the community that helped shape his musical journey.
The announcement comes as Kingston prepares to lose one of its major entertainment spaces, with Mas Camp and the Stadium Car Park set to become unavailable for events following Carnival 2027 due to redevelopment.
Solomon Sharpe, executive chairman of Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL), believes Caymanas Park has the capacity to accommodate major productions. “Caymanas Park was built to handle moments like this,” Sharpe said. “We have the grounds, the infrastructure and the experience to stage a festival for thousands of patrons, and to do it safely and seamlessly.”
Presented by Masicka and his 1Syde team in partnership with Zimi Entertainment, with Magnum as title partner, Forever1NE will feature the dancehall star alongside special guests, with further lineup announcements expected in the coming weeks.
The festival follows several major events hosted at Caymanas Park, including Zimi Seh Brunch and the Mouttet Mile, as the venue continues expanding beyond horse racing into entertainment. “Masicka is coming home to Portmore, and Caymanas Park is proud to be the place that welcomes him,” Sharpe added. “This is what we mean when we say Caymanas Park is for everybody.
