Busta Rhymes Teases New Remix for Moliy’s “Shake It to the Max” Featuring Shenseea and Skillibeng, as the Track Secures Second MTV VMA Nomination

The summer Billboard smash remix of Moliy’s “Shake It to The Max”, featuring Jamaican stars Shenseea and Skillibeng, climbs even higher with the addition of legendary American rapper Busta Rhymes, who brings his signature energy, flow, and lyrical prowess.

Busta teased his verse on Instagram, calling on the ladies to be ready for the new heat while making a creative nod to Dexta Daps. He confirmed his involvement in his trademark style: “Y’all keep thinking you will one day see me not it, well unfortunately for you never because as always, the blessings don’t stop so we won’t never stop. More Labor Day wknd heat. Brand new.”

Busta Rhymes, who received the Elite Icon Award at the third annual Caribbean Music Awards on Thursday, made his third on-stage appearance alongside Vybz Kartel at the Barclays Center on Friday—marking yet another powerful moment since Kartel’s release.

The momentum behind the hit remix of Moliy’s “Shake It to the Max”, produced by Silent Addy and Disco Neil under their Bashment Sound imprint, shows no signs of slowing down. The track—fusing Moliy’s Afro-fusion roots, Shenseea’s dancehall energy, Skillibeng’s lyrical fire, and now Busta Rhymes’ iconic delivery, continues to make waves across the globe. It has just earned a second MTV Video Music Award (VMA) nomination in the Song of the Summer category, following its earlier nod for Best Afrobeats Song in August.

The VMA nominations highlight the growing international recognition of the Billboard Top 50-charting single, which has already achieved Gold certifications in the U.S., France, and New Zealand, with additional plaques in the UK, Canada, and other major markets.

Another unreleased remix version to feature both Vybz Kartel and Stefflon Don, building further anticipation around the record’s expanding global impact.
