Bounty Killer and DJ Khaled deliver essential aid for Hurricane Melissa Relief
Dancehall icon Bounty Killer has joined nationwide efforts to support victims of Hurricane Melissa. Through his Bounty Foundation, he has partnered with DJ Khaled’s We The Best Foundation to coordinate donations, with a primary focus on hospitals and schools across the hardest-hit communities.
“We’re stronger now, Jamaica - I’ve been telling you all for decades,” he shared in an Instagram post on Monday night.
Bounty Killer and DJ Khaled have shared a close friendship for years, and earlier this year — after the deejay’s U.S. visa was reinstated following a 15-year hiatus — he immediately visited Khaled at his home in Miami. Their bond also continued musically, with Bounty appearing on Khaled’s all-star collaboration “You Remind Me,” alongside fellow legends Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton, and Mavado.
Khaled, a longtime supporter of Jamaican culture, has visited the island many times, deepening his connection to the music and its leading voices.
Among the Bounty Foundation’s many charitable efforts over the years, Bounty donated US$10,000 earlier this year to fellow artist Lt. Stitchie to assist with his rehabilitation. Bellevue Hospital in Kingston also recently benefited from a major equipment handover. The Foundation continues to support institutions and residents in need as part of its ongoing mission to uplift communities.
