Barbican Football Club has announced a six-year partnership with Jamaican technology company VAYU Limited, which will invest US$100,000 over the first 24 months to support the club’s football, technology, commercial and community development.

The partnership will see VAYU help strengthen Barbican’s operations through player management and scouting systems, club management tools, e-commerce, digital fan engagement and technology supporting youth and community programmes.

VAYU will also introduce its V-OS private automation system to assist with administration, scouting and data management, alongside its OneDigital QR and NFC platform for sponsor campaigns, merchandise, branding and fan engagement.

“We are building Barbican for the long term. That means improving what happens on the field, but also improving the systems, facilities and opportunities around the Club. VAYU is coming into that journey with us, and we believe there is a lot we can build together.”

Beyond technology, the two organisations plan to develop Barbican’s grounds into a commercially active sports and community hub within 36 months, incorporating football, wellness, entertainment and community programmes.

The club also hopes to develop its facilities to support Jamaica’s wider ambitions around the 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cup, while creating more opportunities for young players through football, technology and education.

However, beyond technology, the partnership will focus on developing Barbican FC and its grounds around a broader vision of football and wellness in Jamaica.

The club aims to transform the Barbican premises into a commercially active sports and community hub within 36 months, bringing together football, wellness, entertainment, community programmes and business activity beyond match days.

Barbican FC President Miguel Coley said the partnership forms part of the club’s wider long-term vision. “We are building Barbican for the long term. That means improving what happens on the field, but also improving the systems, facilities and opportunities around the Club. VAYU is coming into that journey with us, and we believe there is a lot we can build together.”

VAYU Limited Managing Director Matthew Graham said the partnership reflects the company’s growing focus on using technology to support communities and the next generation.

“We've built intelligent systems around business outcomes, especially since launching V-OS. But we have overlooked the massive opportunity in developing communities and the younger generation. That investment starts now.

“If the future is going to be a positive one, then we have to play our role in facilitating that outcome.”

The six-year partnership will provide a long-term framework for technology, commercial and community initiatives, with the wider goal of strengthening Barbican FC and developing its grounds into an active sports and community hub.
