Dancehall artiste Ayetian continues to cement himself as one of the region’s most exciting emerging talents with the release of his latest single, “Donkey Call,” featured on Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor’s buzzing “Hill & Gully Riddim.”
“Donkey Call” further adds to the growing momentum surrounding the riddim, which has been creating major waves across dancehall circles, with artistes such as Masicka, Valiant, Govana, Skippa and more all delivering their own interpretations over the energetic production.
On the track, Ayetian showcases his creativity, charisma, and unmistakable flair for storytelling. The single draws heavily from traditional Jamaican folk expression, channeling the humorous and theatrical style long associated with Anansi stories, Louise “Miss Lou” Bennett-Coverley, and classic Jamaican stage-show culture. Through colorful characters, witty punchlines, comedic imagery, and community-centered language, “Donkey Call” delivers a lively and unapologetically Caribbean listening experience.
The culturally driven release arrives as Ayetian gears up for his upcoming EP JAMPACK. The project’s first single, “Riddle Mi Dis,” already sets the tone for what promises to be another high-energy body of work from the fast-rising entertainer.
Ayetian is also preparing for a major summer run, including an appearance at Rum Island Festival 2026 in Atlanta alongside dancehall heavyweight Aidonia. The momentum continues with his headline slot at Carnival Wave Music Fest on July 5, as well as his addition to the highly anticipated Reggae Sumfest 2026 staging at Plantation Cove in St. Ann on July 18, headlined by dancehall giants Vybz Kartel and Mavado.
