A new chapter in the legacy of one of Mitsubishi Motors’ most recognisable SUVs begins with the global debut of the fifth-generation Pajero in Japan, blending its iconic off-road heritage with modern refinement and comfort.

The global premiere was attended by Stewart’s Automotive Group executives Jeneque Pinnock and Jermaine Robinson, representing Jamaica. The pair also participated in a dedicated test drive ahead of the all-new Pajero’s expected arrival in Jamaica in September 2027.

Built on the latest Triton platform, the new Pajero features advanced four-wheel-drive technology and upgraded suspension for improved off-road performance and comfort.

It is powered by a next-generation clean diesel engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, delivering strong torque and smooth acceleration.

“The global debut of the All-New Pajero was an exciting milestone for the Mitsubishi brand and an important moment for Stewart’s Automotive Group as we look ahead to its anticipated arrival in Jamaica,” said Franz Lawrence, Mitsubishi Brand Sales Manager, Stewart’s Automotive Group.

“The Pajero has a strong heritage as a capable and versatile SUV, and this new generation builds on that legacy with a combination of advanced all-wheel-drive technology, robust engineering and enhanced on-road comfort. Having the opportunity to see the vehicle unveiled and experience it first-hand has given us valuable insight into what Jamaican customers can look forward to when the All-New Pajero reaches our market.”

“We continued to ask ourselves what the essence of the Pajero truly is. What we pursued was not a simple revival. Free from fixed ideas, we confronted the Pajero’s essence. The answer we reached was ‘distinctive evolution’,” said Kunitoshi Itagaki, Mitsubishi Motors.

The Pajero’s “Grand Charisma” design blends its iconic boxy silhouette with modern styling, featuring a redesigned Dynamic Shield front, distinctive T-shaped headlights and heritage-inspired details.

Inside, the new Pajero offers a spacious cabin with premium materials, enhanced comfort and practical seating.
