L-R: Alkaline, Dexta Daps and Spice among star-studded lineup
Dancehall stars Alkaline, Spice, Dexta Daps and Jada Kingdom have officially been announced for the second annual Afro Plus Fest in the DMV region, slated for September 4-6, 2026.
The festival, which made its debut in Washington, D.C. in 2025 to a sold-out crowd led by acts such as Shenseea, Gunna and Afrobeats star Asake, is set to return even bigger this year with an expanded three-day format across Labor Day weekend at the Northwest Stadium Complex in Maryland.
Afrobeats superstars Davido and Wizkid are also among the headliners, alongside American rap acts Lil Baby and Latto. Organisers are projecting more than 120,000 attendees across the weekend following the strong reception to the inaugural staging, further highlighting the growing fusion of African and Caribbean music on the global festival scene.
For Alkaline, the announcement continues the expansion of his international footprint, as the deejay has also been confirmed for the Caribbean Rock Festival curated by UK-based DJ Nate. The event is set to make its overseas debut in Zante, Greece from September 24-28, marking another major European appearance for the dancehall star.
