Dancehall artiste Alkaline sparks widespread attention and speculation after appearing onstage at Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival wearing what appeared to be a nasal oxygen cannula.

Dressed in a red jacket, the deejay delivered an energetic performance with visible tubing running across his face, raising questions among fans about the unusual accessory.

Despite the appearance, Alkaline showed no obvious signs of difficulty during his set, keeping the crowd entertained as female fans sang along to several of his hits, including his currently viral single "Gyal Good."

The unusual appearance has also generated plenty of humorous reactions across social media, particularly on TikTok, where users have been getting creative with jokes, memes and playful interpretations of the deejay's latest look.

The unexpected sight has fueled speculation over whether the Vendetta Boss was hinting at an upcoming song, trolling musical rivals whom he believes cannot perform or "breathe" during their sets, or dealing with a genuine health issue.

Alkaline is no stranger to controversial appearances. During the early stages of his career, the deejay famously drew attention with his seemingly tattooed black eyes, which later turned out to be the result of contact lenses.

While the tubing resembled a nasal cannula, its purpose remains unclear. Neither Alkaline nor his team has publicly confirmed whether it was medically necessary or simply part of another calculated move to spark conversation.
