Alkaline and super producer Di Genius reignite the dancehall flame with the release of “My Choice,” following the deejay’s first video interview in over nine years with BET UK

Dancehall luminary Alkaline teams up with Jamaican super producer Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor for their highly anticipated collaboration, “My Choice,” officially dropping at midnight on Thursday, May 15. The track is co-produced by Autobamb Records.

Di Genius first teased the single three months ago, building anticipation ahead of its release. He recently collaborated with dancehall diva Ishawna on “Worth It” and took the stage last Saturday at Aidonia’s 20th anniversary celebration, delivering an exclusive set featuring some of his iconic productions for the deejay’s past hits.

Alkaline recently made his first video interview appearance in nine years, donning his signature black eyes on BET UK, where he opened up about his evolving musical style and what’s ahead.

The deejay returned to the UK after an eight-year hiatus, electrifying the OVO Arena Wembley with a sold-out performance packed with raw energy and emotion. He’s now set to bring his New Rules Festival to Toronto’s Rebel Nightclub on June 21, followed by a highly anticipated homecoming show at Trelawny Stadium in Jamaica on July 5.

First launched in 2017, the New Rules Festival drew over 30,000 fans in its debut and has since expanded with successful stagings in New York, Florida, and Jamaica.
