1Ski OG Introduces His ‘Alter Ego’ With 15-Track Debut Album
The Jamaican dancehall artiste is set to release his debut album on September 25 via Against Da Grain/Epic Records, featuring contributions from Darren Sortie, Romieikon and Fito Blanko

Dancehall artiste 1Ski OG is set to release his 15-track debut album, Alter Ego, on September 25 through Against Da Grain/Epic Records, putting the different sides of his personality into one project.
The latest preview comes with “The Lord,” produced by Daten Sortie, which serves as the album’s opening track and arrives alongside a new music video.
Rather than easing listeners into the project, “The Lord” starts from a serious place. Haunting melody and hard percussion frame a song centred on faith and what remains when everything else has disappeared, while 1Ski OG and Sortie move between rapping and melodic vocals.
“We all got mixed personalities that sets us aside from each other. Who you choose to be only you can decide,” 1Ski OG said.
Across 15 tracks, he explores those different sides of himself, moving between dancehall, trap, romance and introspection. “Riches Forever,” “Mad Dem,” “Options” and “Ratatata” bring a harder edge, while “Ay Gyal” takes a more playful approach.
Alter Ego follows a growing momentum for the Manchester, Jamaica native, who first built a following as social media comedian and actor Valdomore before breaking through musically with his viral 2023 single “Dawkniss,” released under his former name 1Ski Mask.

The success of “Dawkniss,” which amassed millions of streams, helped lead to a deal with Against Da Grain/Epic Records. Billboard later named him among its Caribbean Artists to Watch.
Among the contributors to the project are producers Darren Sortie and Romieikon, alongside Fito Blanko, as Alter Ego marks a new chapter in 1Ski OG’s career.
